PROJECT INSIGHTS

FAMILY RETREAT, HAMPSHIRE

Set in a peaceful corner of the Hampshire countryside, this long-loved family home had remained largely untouched for over 60 years. With its generous proportions, charming character, and beautiful surroundings, it offered huge potential—but was in need of careful modernisation. Our clients, a professional couple with young children, were looking to sensitively refurbish and adapt the house to support their growing family and busy lives.

  • The property required extensive work to bring it up to modern standards, but the clients were keen to preserve its warmth and character. With demanding jobs and limited time, they needed someone to help guide the process—ensuring that the end result would feel personal, practical, and calm. Creating a considered design brief, appointing the right team, and coordinating a complex programme of works all needed to happen without overwhelming the family or disrupting their day-to-day.

  • Defined the vision: Worked closely with the family to develop a clear, thoughtful brief—capturing how they wanted the house to function and feel

Curated the team: Appointed a specialist interior designer and assembled a trusted, experienced consultant team

Led coordination: Managed and coordinated the full project team to ensure the family’s needs remained central throughout

Reduced client pressure: Provided regular updates and clear decision-making support to reduce stress for the clients, who were both working full-time

Delivered a holistic result: Oversaw the integration of landscape and garden works as part of a comprehensive approach to the refurbishment

  • A warm and welcoming country retreat, reimagined for modern family life. The completed home reflects the clients’ values and lifestyle, combining beauty and practicality in a peaceful, characterful setting.
